So I reconnected with someone I haven't seen in about 20 years. So yeah since I was about two. And wouldn't you know we hit it off.
Its kind of a cute story you see....one that could be a novel or a romantic comedy or something.
So my parents decided to have two of their long lost friends come to town for the day. I think they were my parents first married set of friends. (Pat and Ike) Anyways they decided to come up to visit for the day and my parents decided to take them kayaking. And being that I work in an outdoor store, my father had me getting extra equipment and odds and ends they needed. So I decided I'd take my dog and taggle along but do my own thing once I got on the lake. Except that didn't happen. This couple, I couldn't believe it, they were so much like my parents. It was an absolute hoot watching and listening to them interact. Of course the Mom's were going on about their kids. In my family I have an older sister who is married with a precious son. And in Pat and Ike have two sons one a little older than my sister who is married and a son who is a little older than me. So being sneaky moms they are they started bringing up Kevin, the younger of the two sons. And of course they couldn't wait to show me a picture of him. And who would have thought he was super handsome and in the military. Which I
happened to be a sucker for a man in uniform so i totally fell for their tricks. So here I am looking this guy up on facebook. Pat and my mom noticed they had sparked my interest with the picture so they took the liberty to text him a picture of me. And he responded back with "way to go mom, pick her up at 8". you know just joking around. Anyways all kevins facebook stuff is locked down so you can't see anything unless you are friends with him, so shamelessly I added him and hoped for the best. A couple hours later he accepted my friends request. SO shamelessly I stalked the heck out of his facebook. And decided I was definitely attracted to him. It looked like we had a ton of similar interests, one of which stuck out immediately was his passion for photography. Which happens to be a passion of my own. And before I knew it he had commented on a picture that I had put up of my new camera. After going back and forth commenting we finally started messaging on facebook then that lead to nonstop texting for a week or so. we also have talked on the phone and facetimed a good bit too. After talking to him for a while he got his mom to find some pictures of us from when we were kids and used to play together. He sent them to me and I was literally dumbfounded. See being two years younger than him isn't a big deal now but then its enough time to where I can't remember when we were friends. So when he showed me the pictures...well it was just awesome. And one of the pictures so so amazingly cute (i'll add it at the bottom) But I found myself yearning to talk to him and more so hang out with him. but the catch is he is still active duty in the Marine Corps and is stationed 6 hours from where I live. But, before I knew it a friend decided to invite me to a beach weekend which happened to be only two hours from kevin and he happened to have the weekend off. So here I am waiting ever so impatiently for this weekend when I will get to finally see my long lost friend.
